Applied Electrical Engineering Technology
The Department of Electrical Engineering Technology is part of the College of Industrial Technology. Currently, the department offers 2 bachelor’s degree programs and 1 master’s degree program. The bachelor’s degree offers a Bachelor of Engineering Program in Electrical and Power Electronics Engineering Technology (PnET) and a Bachelor of Industry Program in Electrical and Power Electronics Technology (PNT), which are specialized programs. All of these programs aim to provide graduates with the knowledge and ability to work in power systems, power electronics, machine control systems, production processes, and maintenance in both industrial and service sectors. The teaching and learning emphasizes both theoretical and hands-on practice for graduates to think and do, emphasizing specific knowledge in electrical and power electronics. For the master’s degree, the Master of Engineering Program in Applied Electrical Engineering Technology (MAEE) focuses on applied research to enhance learners’ knowledge and abilities in various fields of electrical engineering. It is an integration of engineering and technology to develop practical skills. The program also aligns with engineers working in industry, where the outcome of the program is to guide learners to build engineering and leadership skills.
