IPES Team from KMUTNB’s Pre-Engineering School Wins Robo Soccer Championship in Thailand National Robotics Contest
Students from the Pre-Engineering School, Thai-German Institute, under the College of Industrial Technology at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), secured the first place in the Robo Soccer category at the Thailand National Robotics Championship 2024. The event was held from June 7-9 at the Diamond Hall, 5th Floor, Zeer Rangsit Shopping Center, organized by the Technology Promotion Association (Thai-Japan).
The winning team, named IPES, comprised second-year students Mr. Nikan T. Jirasukon and Mr. Siraphop Sudduen from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program. The team was advised by Mr. Katawut Utchin, a dedicated faculty mentor. By winning this prestigious title, the team will represent Thailand at the upcoming Robo Cup Asia Pacific competition.
The event attracted talented students from renowned robotics and engineering institutes across the nation, competing for the royal trophy graciously awarded by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
