Songkran Festival Celebration at the College of Industrial Technology, KMUTNB
The College of Industrial Technology celebrated the traditional Thai New Year, Songkran, with a variety of cultural activities on April 10, 2024. The event included a sacred water-pouring ceremony over Buddha statues and a traditional blessing ceremony for senior administrators, alongside a procession honoring the university’s revered Buddha image, Luang Pho Singh.
Held in the main hall in front of the Palm Phet Room on the 3rd floor of Building 63, the event promoted the preservation of Thai customs and traditions, showing respect for elders, and deepening the community’s connection to Buddhist values. The celebration aimed to instill appreciation for Thailand’s cultural heritage, emphasizing the importance of these customs in Thai society and everyday life.
